The Louvenia Johnson Scholarship Fund was established on February 27, 1988 at the third annual Black Excellence Awards Program.
The Louvenia Johnson Journalism Scholarship Fund, Inc., is named after the late Mrs. Louvenia Johnson, one of the three founders of the Christian Times Newspaper, which later evolved into what is known as The Milwaukee Times Weekly Newspaper.
